
Dubai: Pakistan’s players suffered a slump in the latest ICC T20I rankings released on Wednesday, with opener Sahibzada Farhan retaining his place among the top-ranked players.
Farhan remains unchanged at number three in the ICC T20 batsmen rankings. However, no other Pakistani batsman in the rankings could maintain their previous position.
Opener Saim Ayub slipped from 36th to 38th position with 560 rating points. Former captain Babar Azam has also slipped 3 places to 41st place, while T20 captain Salman Ali Agha has slipped 2 places to 43rd place with 547 points.
Left-arm opener Faqar Zaman also lost one place to 72nd with 481 points.
India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to top the T20I batting rankings, followed by compatriot Ishan Kishan at the second spot. Pakistan’s Farhan remains in third place.
In the ICC T20I bowlers rankings, Mohammad Nawaz retained his position of 11th, while pacer Salman Mirza also remained at the 20th position.
Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has slipped one place to 31st with 602 points, while spinner Usman Tariq has slipped two places to 61st with 524 points.
Off-spinner Subian Mukeem also slipped one place to 68th. Meanwhile, Saim Ayub and Shatab Khan retained the 72nd and 74th positions respectively. Fast bowler Haris Raoob was the only Pakistani player to move up one place to 89th with 448 points.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan remains at the top of the T20 bowling rankings, followed by India’s Varun Chakraborty at the second position and Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed at the third position.
