LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for Pakistan Women’s upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, with the six-match series scheduled to be held at Hambantota late next month.
All six matches will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, featuring three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is).
The ODI series will be held on July 23, 25 and 28 and is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29. Pakistan are currently second in the points table with eight points after winning four out of six matches.
New Zealand lead the championship table with 13 points, although they have played three matches ahead of Pakistan.
Following the ODI leg, the action will shift to the T20I series, scheduled for July 31, August 2 and August 4.
Both the Pakistan and Sri Lankan women’s teams are currently in the United Kingdom, where they are participating in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, which begins on June 12.
The two teams have met 21 times in T20Is. Pakistan have a narrow advantage with 11 wins, while Sri Lanka have won nine and have not produced a result in a match.
In ODIs, the competition is more balanced in terms of experience but less in results, with Pakistan winning 11 out of 34 encounters, while Sri Lanka have 22 wins and one match that has ended in a draw.
