LAHORE: Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed and captain Shaheen Afridi have risen in the latest ICC ODI bowling rankings following a strong performance in the three-match series against Australia, while many Pakistani players have slipped.

Abrar Ahmed moved up seven places to take a place among the top five bowlers, moving to fourth place with 633 rating points, while left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi moved from 17th to 13th place with 593 points.

No other Pakistani bowler has achieved the feat. Haris Raoob slipped to 19th, Naseem Shah slipped 5 places to 45th, Mohammad Wasim Jr slipped 4 places to 65th, Mohammad Nawaz slipped 5th to 75th and Faheem Ashraf slipped one place to 98th.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan tops the ODI bowling rankings, England’s Jofra Archer is second and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj is third.

No Pakistani players improved their position in the ODI batting rankings, with former captain Babar Azam holding on to sixth place with 687 points.

Salman Ali Agha has slipped 5 places to 14th with 638 points, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has slipped 3 places to 30th, Faqar Zaman has slipped 2 places to 33rd, Saim Ayub has slipped 41st and Abdullah Shafiq has slipped 6 places to 99th.

New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell remains at the top of the ODI batting rankings, followed by India’s Virat Kohli at the second position and Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Sadran at the third position.
