Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Officials for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Candace La Porte, Gayathri Venugopalan, Kerin Clauste and Shadira Zakir Jessie are all set to make their World Cup debuts when the event kicks off in England and Wales from June 12.
ICC CEO Sanchog Gupta said the selection reflects the governing body’s continued focus on expanding representation in all areas of the game.
“The panel of match officials for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 reflects the ICC’s commitment to broaden the scope of representation to all aspects of the game,” Gupta said.
He said the ICC uses a “comprehensive, thorough and evidence-based” evaluation process when evaluating officials and their performance.
“We are delighted to see the progress made by these officials and the high standards they demonstrated during the ICC CWC 2025,” he said.
“As we prepare to deliver the world’s largest women’s sporting event, this selection will help elevate the meaning associated with the athletic spectacle.”
In total, 14 referees and four match referees will oversee 33 matches in the tournament. Nine officials from the 2024 edition will return to this year’s event.
Experienced Australian referee Claire Polosak is making her sixth appearance at the World Cup, having officiated 22 matches.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline Williams and Kim Cotton will reach their fifth T20 World Cup with 19 matches each.
The panel of referees will include returning officials Shantre Fritz, GS Lakshmi and Michael Perera for the 2024 edition. They are joined by New Zealand’s Trudy Anderson to complete the four-man squad.
