DUBAI: Pakistan players Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha and captain Shan Masood are among the few players who have risen in the ICC Test rankings despite their recent 2-0 win over Bangladesh in the two-match series.

Babur moved up one place to 22nd with 663 rating points, while wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan retained his 21st position. Middle-order batsman Salman Agha also moved up from 29th position to 27th position with 636 points.

Test captain Shaun moved up two places to 44th with 558 points, while Imam-ul-Haq retained his 53rd position. Meanwhile, Abdullah Shafiq slipped two places to 56th position, while youngster Abdullah Fazal slipped 23 places to 98th position with 288 points.

England pair Joe Root and Harry Brooke continue the top two, with Root leading the rankings, Brooke second and Australia’s Travis Head third.

In the ICC Test bowlers’ rankings, spinner Noman Ali slipped from fifth to seventh with 817 points. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi also slipped two places to 26th with 624 points.

Mohammad Abbas retained his 28th position, while off-spinner Sajid Khan slipped one place to 31st with 551 points. Fast bowler Hasan Ali moved up one place to 39th, while Khurram Shahzad moved up to 49th.

In the all-rounders rankings, spinner Asif Afridi slipped 4 places to 86th, while Agha Salman also slipped 3 places to 94th.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to top the Test bowling rankings, Australia’s Mitchell Starc is second and New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry is third.
