Belfast: New Zealand suffered a major blow when fast bowler Matt Henry was ruled out of the four-day Test against Ireland at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by New Zealand Cricket (NZC), Henry is currently recovering from a low-grade strain in his left hamstring.

The New Zealand pacer will join Will O’Rourke and Kyle Jamieson in a training camp in London ahead of the three-Test series against England starting on June 4.

Meanwhile, Ireland’s opener Paul Stirling also pulled out of the tournament due to a pre-match injury. He was replaced by Stephen Doheny in the Ireland first team.
