
LAHORE: Pakistan’s top cricketers on Wednesday extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Adha wishes to fans, sharing messages of joy, unity and compassion on the festive occasion.
In a video message released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), captain Babar Azam, ODI captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, T20 captain Salman Ali Agha, all-rounder Shatab Khan, pacer Haris Rauf, emerging batsman Shamil Hussain, wicketkeeper Rohail Naseer, Subian Muqorth, and Subian Muqorth are among the best spinners. Greetings to all cricket fans around the world.
“On behalf of the Pakistan team, I wish everyone a very happy Eid,” Babar Azam said.
Shaheen Afridi said, “Happy Eid to you all.
“Eid Mubarak to everyone in Pakistan and around the world,” said Salman Ali Agha.
“Wishing everyone a very happy Eid,” added Shatab Khan.
“Eid-ul-Adha Mubarak to all Muslims,” said Haris Rauf.
The national cricketers encouraged fans to celebrate the occasion with relatives and friends, take care of those around them and share sacrificial meat with underprivileged families so that everyone can participate in the Eid festivities.
Emphasizing that cleanliness is an important part of faith, they also reminded the public to keep their surroundings clean.
Meanwhile, the players will return to national duty as the Australia national cricket team is currently in Pakistan for the three-match ODI series against the Green Shirts scheduled from May 30 to June 4.
The first ODI will be played in Rawalpindi, while the second and third matches will be played in Lahore. The toss is scheduled for 4:00pm (BST) and the first ball will be bowled at 4:30pm (BST).
