
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally started the process of searching for an “experienced and competent” batting coach for its men’s cricket team.
As per the requirements listed in the advertisement, applicants must have at least Level II cricket coaching accreditation and at least five years of experience in a similar role with elite cricketers, national, franchise or international teams.
Also, candidates should have a sound understanding of batting techniques, game analysis and player development, as well as demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluating systems and processes used internationally to improve batting skills.
The PCB is looking for individuals with experience in training athletes to international standards, strong planning, organizational and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Meanwhile, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, integrity, professionalism, persuasive communication skills and computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and training software will be considered essential, while proficiency in training software will be an added qualification.
According to sources, the post for the Pakistan men’s white-ball team is the only one left after their three-match home ODI series against Australia, which ends on June 4, after current batting coach Hanif Malik resigned a few weeks ago.
Insiders added that Malik is currently serving his notice period and the upcoming domestic series against Australia will be his final assignment.
It is to be noted that applications for this post can be submitted till 5 pm on 7th June.
