HARARE: Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) on Friday confirmed that its men’s team will host Bangladesh for an all-format series that will consist of a single Test, followed by three ODIs and a T20I.
According to the cricket board, Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe after 2022, which will begin with a lone Test, is scheduled to be played from June 28 to July 2 at the Harare Sports Club here, which will also host three ODIs on July 6, 9 and 11 respectively.
The action will then shift to Bulawayo’s Queen’s Sports Club, which will host three T20Is on July 15, 17 and 19 respectively.
For the uninitiated, the upcoming series will be Zimbabwe’s first home assignment this year and comes after their historic feat at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which saw them qualify for the Super Eight stage for the first time, courtesy of wins over Australia and co-hosts Sri Lanka.
ZC Managing Director Kivmore Makoni cited their recent success on the international stage and said the Bangladesh tour was significant for the Chevrons.
“We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what will be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats,” Makoni said in a statement.
“This tour is very important for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home grounds following the team’s impressive performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.
“Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months and we look forward to seeing the fans rally behind the team again in Harare and Bulawayo.”
