KARACHI: The Zimbabwe women’s 15-member squad arrived here on Wednesday for the first tour of Pakistan, which includes a six-match white-ball series scheduled from May 3 to 15.

According to details, the tour group landed at Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday evening and was received by Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team Manager Ayesha Ashar.

Following their arrival here, the team will rest today and get into their preparations for the historic series on Thursday evening as they hold their first practice session here at the National Bank Stadium.

The upcoming white-ball series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will begin with three ODIs, all scheduled to be played at the aforementioned venue on May 3, 6 and 9 respectively.

Following the ODI leg, both the teams will engage in a three-match T20I series, all of which are scheduled to be played at the National Bank Stadium on May 12, 14 and 15 respectively.

The three T20 matches will be crucial preparation for Pakistan ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.

Ahead of the global tournament, the hosts and West Indies will also participate in a T20I tri-series in Ireland, with matches scheduled from May 28 to June 4.
