
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday confirmed the match officials for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 Qualifier on April 28, Eliminator 1 on April 29 and Eliminator 2 on May 1.
Sir Richard Richardson, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will lead the match control panel for the qualifier between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United at the National Bank Stadium.
Richardson, who made his PSL debut earlier this season on April 15, will end his campaign after officiating 10 matches.
New Zealand’s Christopher Kafeni and England’s Alexander Wharf are both members of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires who will act as field umpires for the qualifiers.
Faisal Khan Afridi has been appointed as the third umpire and Zulfiqar John as the fourth umpire.
Former Sri Lankan player Roshan Mahanama will head the match control committee for the two eliminators. Mahanama has refereed all 11 seasons of the PSL, reaching 127 matches as a match referee in the league.
For Eliminator 1 between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultans in Lahore, Bangladesh’s Shahid Saikat will join Asif Yakub as on-field umpires. Rashid Riaz will be the third umpire and Naseer Hussain will be the fourth umpire.
Eliminator 2, between the winner of Eliminator 1 and the loser from the qualifiers, is scheduled for May 1, with Ahsan Raza and Shahid Saikat as field umpires. Asif Yakub and Rashid Riaz will act as the third and fourth umpires respectively.
The officials for the PSL 11 final on May 3 will be announced in due course.
