LAHORE: Pakistan is mulling to host a tri-lateral ODI between England and Sri Lanka later this year, according to reports. Jio is super On Tuesday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to host the event on home soil as part of efforts to bring back top international teams to the country for limited-overs cricket.

England have reportedly agreed to take part in the proposed series in October-November, while final confirmation from Sri Lankan cricket is still awaited.

According to the Future Tours Program (FTP), Sri Lanka are already set to tour Pakistan where they will play three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) and a two-match Test series.

The tri-series is expected to be preceded by three T20 matches in October, while the two-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is likely to take place in November.

Notably, last year the Green Shirts participated in two T20I tri-series, first against UAE and Afghanistan and second against hosts Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan won the first tri-series hosted by the UAE by defeating Afghanistan in the final on 29 August 2025 and the second short-form tri-series in Rawalpindi on 29 November at home against Sri Lanka.

The Men in Green are all set to travel to Bangladesh for a two-match Test series that is part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.

The first Test is scheduled to be played from May 8 to 12 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, while the second match will be played from May 16 to 20 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Season’s top-order batsman Shaun Masood will lead Pakistan’s squad, which features five uncapped players – Abdullah Fazal, Amat Butt, Azan Awais and Muhammad Qazi Ghori.
