LAHORE: Captain Tuba Hasan’s all-round masterclass helped Stars beat Invincibles by 52 runs in the final of the National Women’s T20 Championship 2025-26 at the Ghani Class Cricket Ground on Sunday.

With the win, Stars successfully defended their title and bagged the trophy, with a prize money of PKR 1.5 million.

Duba, who contributed 192 runs and took 10 wickets throughout the tournament, was chosen as the joint player of the tournament along with Conquerors’ Fatima Sana, who scored 271 runs and took 8 wickets.

Batting first, Stars scored 156 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Duba played a crucial counter-attacking innings from number six, scoring a blistering 50 off 31 balls that included five fours and two sixes.

It was his second half-century when the Stars were struggling at 96 for 7.

Chitra Amin also made a valuable contribution with a 23-ball 30 with a four and 2 sixes to help raise the total to a match score.

For the Invisibles, Amber Kainat and Momina Riyazat took two wickets each, keeping the batting side in check at key stages of the innings.

In reply, the Invisibles were bowled out for 104 in 16.1 overs despite skipper Muneeba Ali’s 13-ball 27.

The left-handed batsman, who finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, was named the best batsman after amassing 344 runs in nine matches, including four half-centuries, at a strike rate of 142.74.

The Stars’ bowling attack proved decisive with Ayesha Bilal and Duba Hasan bagging three wickets each, while Omaima Sohail secured a dominant all-round performance with two wickets.
