LAHORE: The much-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11th match between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans has been reduced to 13 overs each due to rain interruption, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Friday.

Heavy rain disrupted the 11th match of the eight-team tournament here, delaying the toss, which was originally scheduled for 6:30 pm Pakistan Time (PST).

The rain drenched the ground for almost an hour, but once it stopped, the ground staff made tireless efforts to prepare it for the match.

As a result, as per the latest development, the coin toss will now take place at 8:30 PM and the first ball will be bowled 15 minutes later.

As the match has been reduced to 13 overs per team, the Powerplay will be 3.5 overs. Three bowlers are allowed to bowl a maximum of three overs each, while the remaining two bowlers can bowl up to two overs each.

The upcoming match is of great importance for both sides as Sultans aim to extend their unbeaten run to three matches after suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Karachi Kings.
