LAHORE: The toss for the much-anticipated match 12 of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 between three-time champions Islamabad United and debutants Rawalpindi, scheduled to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Saturday, was delayed due to rain.

According to details, the covers were mostly in place, although a significant portion had been removed from one end, as ground staff worked tirelessly to remove water from the covers and prepare the field for play.

Earlier, in a video shared by Bindis on its official social media handles, the picturesque Gaddafi Stadium was closed due to moderate rains, with dark clouds looming over the place.

Also, according to the weather forecast, there is a 49 percent chance of rain at 6:00 PM local time, half an hour before the scheduled coin-toss time.

However, the chance of rain will then drop to two percent by 7:00 PM and remain very low until midnight, indicating the possibility of a full-on match.

For the uninitiated, the upcoming match, which will be the first meeting between United and Bintis, is of great importance for both sides as the new entrants will be eager to register their first win while the three-time champions will be looking to win it to enter the top two spots in the PSL 11 standings.
