KARACHI: The 24-year-old took to social media to confirm that right-arm Pakistan fast bowler Zaman Khan has undergone a successful surgery on his right shoulder.
Zaman shared the update by posting a picture of himself resting in a hospital bed and thanked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi and its medical team for their support during his ongoing rehabilitation.
“Alhamdulillah, surgery completed successfully. Special thanks to Chairman PCB (Mohsin Naqvi), Dr. Mumraiz and PCB medical team. Inshallah he will be back soon,” Zaman captioned the post.
Last week, Zaman suffered a serious injury during the National T20 Cup 2026 match between home team Peshawar and Faisalabad at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.
According to the cricket board, the 24-year-old suffered a dislocation of the acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) in his right shoulder while playing for Faisalabad in the recently concluded tournament.
“Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocation of right shoulder by fast bowler Zaman Khan while fielding during the match between Faisalabad and Peshawar in the ongoing National T20 Cup in Peshawar,” the PCB said in a brief statement.
“He will report to the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on March 14 and further action regarding his recovery and rehabilitation plan will be charted out in consultation with the PCB medical team.”
While the cricket board has not announced a timeline for Zaman’s rehabilitation, the 24-year-old will likely miss PSL 11, for which he was retained by Bindis in the gold division.
He was eventually replaced by left-arm fast bowler Jalat Khan, who has so far taken 25 wickets in 14 T20Is.
“Bindis have replaced Jalat Khan for the upcoming season – 23-year-old Jalat Khan from Laiya, previously picked by Lahore Qalandars – Jalat has played 14 T20 matches and has 25 wickets with an impressive economy rate of 6.40 to his name,” the owner said in a statement.
“The franchise welcomes him to the Bindis family and wishes him all the best as he prepares to represent the team in the upcoming edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League,” it added.
