
DUBAI: Pakistan’s middle-order batsman Salman Ali Agha, leading fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim Jr have made significant gains in the latest ICC ODI rankings following their impressive performances in the recent series against Bangladesh.
In the ODI batting rankings, Babar Azam has retained his sixth spot, while Agha has climbed nine places to ninth with 664 rating points.
Former captain and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan has slipped two places to 26th, while left-hander Faqar Zaman has slipped four places to 31st.
Saim Ayub has fallen 6 places to 41st, Imam-ul-Haq has fallen 5 places to 56th and Abdullah Shafiq has fallen 6 places to 99th.
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell remains at the top of the ODI batting rankings, followed by India’s Virat Kohli at the second position and Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Sadran at the third position.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed has slipped 4 places to 13th in ODI bowling rankings. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi has moved up one place to 17th with 574 points.
Right-arm pacer Haris Rauf has moved up one place to 19th, while Naseem Shah has slipped 4 places to 40th.
Mohammad Wasim Jr moved up one place to 64th with 446 points, while off-spinner Mohammad Nawaz slipped 4 places to 76th.
Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan tops the ODI bowler rankings, England’s Jofra Archer is second and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj is third.
