Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced the nominations for the Men’s Player of the Month award for February 2026, featuring Pakistan opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan, England all-rounder Will Jacks and American pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk.

Farhan enjoyed a remarkable run with the bat during the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, becoming the tournament’s highest run-scorer.

The right-handed opener broke the record for most runs in one edition of the tournament, eclipsing Virat Kohli’s previous record of 319 runs set in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2014.

Farhan scored 383 runs at an average of 76.60 at a strike rate of 160.25.

The Pakistan opener scored two centuries during the tournament – against Namibia and Sri Lanka – becoming the first batsman to score two centuries in a single edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup.

His impressive performance helped Pakistan reach the Super 8 stage of the tournament, where they missed out on a place in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, England’s Jacks was instrumental in guiding his side to the T20 World Cup semi-finals.

The 27-year-old scored 194 runs at a strike rate of 173.21 and took 11 wickets at an economy rate of just over eight.

His impressive performances earned him four Man of the Match awards, the most ever won by any player in a single edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup.

Jacks had a particularly important performance in the Super 8s against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, helping England top Group 2.

American fast bowler Van Schalkwyk impressed with the ball during the tournament, emerging as one of the leading wicket-takers.

The right-arm pacer took 13 wickets during the campaign. He made an immediate impact in the USA’s opener against India, taking four wickets.

Van Schalkwyk produced similar figures of 4/25 against Pakistan later in the group stage, further highlighting his consistency.

Apart from his wicket-taking prowess, the fast bowler also maintained an impressive economy rate of 7.76 throughout the tournament.
