
Peshawar: Abbottabad beat Lahore Blues by 8 wickets in the 19th match of National T20 Cup 2026 at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
The win gave Abbottabad their third win and a place in the semi-finals of the 10-team tournament as they finished with six points from four matches, beating Sialkot and Multan who had four each.
Abbottabad became the third team to qualify for the semi-finals of the National T20 Cup 2026, joining Karachi Whites and Lahore Whites, with the remaining semi-finalists to be decided after the last league-level match between Sialkot and Multan at the same venue.
Opting to bat first, Lahore Blues captain Umar Siddiqui was bowled out for 86 in 14.3 overs – the lowest total in the tournament’s history.
Ali Raza (14), skipper Siddiqui (11), opener Abdullah Asif and lower-order batsman Hunain Shah scored doubles with 10 each as wicketkeeper batsman Hamza Zahoor led the way with 18 off 8 balls.
Shadab took 3 wickets for just 10 runs in his four overs in Abbottabad’s bowling, followed by Shahab Khan and Arshad Iqbal with two wickets each and Khalid Usman, Fayaz Khan and Razaullah with one each.
In turn, Abbottabad made light work of chasing down the target of 87 runs off 2 wickets and 70 balls.
Leading them in the run chase was the in-form Kamran, who scored an unbeaten 46 off 23 balls, with four sixes and 3 fours.
Kamran was supported by opener Shazaib Khan, who scored 32 runs off 19 balls with 5 fours and a six.
The duo shared a 57-run partnership in the second ball which recovered Abbottabad from a poor start as they lost skipper Faqar Zaman (nil) in the second ball.
For Lahore Blues, Mohammad Salman and Asadullah can take one wicket each.
