
Peshawar: Afaq Afridi’s four wickets and Adiq-ur-Rehman’s superb half-century led Faisalabad to a 15-run win against Peshawar in the 13th match of the National T20 Cup 2026 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Peshawar captain Iftikhar Ahmed opted to field first as Faisalabad posted 170/9 in their 20 overs, courtesy of Rehman’s blitz up the order.
The opener scored 72 runs off 44 balls with 10 fours and was adjudged man of the match.
His efforts were supported by captain Muhammad Irfan Khan and all-rounder Mubasir Khan, who combined with handy cameos of 32 and 27 respectively.
For the Peshawar side, Usman Khan and Mohammad Nawaz took 2 wickets each while Ihsanullah, Mohammad Shoaib and Israrullah took one wicket each.
Chasing a tough target of 171, Peshawar’s batting unit collapsed for 155 in 19.5 overs, succumbing to their second defeat in the three matches of the ongoing National T20 Cup 2026 so far.
Middle order batsman Israrullah scored 47 runs off 40 balls and scored 43 off 39 balls.
Apart from them, Mohammad Imran Jr (18 not out), opener Abuzar Tariq and skipper Iftikhar scored just 11 runs each.
Afaq led Faisalabad’s bowling with 4 for 38 in his 3.5 overs, followed by Shehzad Gul with 3 wickets, while Zaman Khan and Momin Qamar chipped in with a scalp each.
