The tentative schedule for the upcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been released, with the matches expected to be held from March 26 to May 3.

With the opening fixture already confirmed, the play-offs are set to be split between Rawalpindi and Lahore, according to reports.

Defending champions Lahore Qalandars will take on debutants Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in the opening match of the tournament at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Each team participating in the first round will play a total of seven matches.

All six participating franchises will compete in a round-robin format at this stage as they aim to secure a place in the next stage.

Sources indicate that the matches will then move to the second phase, where the teams will be divided into two groups.

At this stage, each team will play three additional matches, bringing their total number of fixtures to ten before the play-offs.

The play-off schedule has also been tentatively outlined. The first qualifier is expected to be held on April 28 in Rawalpindi, followed by the first eliminator on April 29 in Lahore.

The second eliminator is scheduled to be held on May 1 in Lahore and the final on May 3 in Lahore.

As for the group formation for the second phase, one group will feature Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.

The other group includes Islamabad United, Bindis, Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans.

For the uninitiated, the official schedule for PSL 11 is expected to be announced in the coming days.
