LAHORE: Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam and fast bowler Naseem Shah have been included in the Lahore Whites squad for the National T20 Cup to be held from March 7 to 18 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

The star duo were notably absent when the initial squads and schedule were announced, but they have now been included in the list. They will be led by Amir Jamal in this match.

Lahore’s line-up has also been strengthened by the addition of Ahmed Daniel and Mohammad Salman.

10 regional teams will compete for the title out of 23 matches at the Peshawar ground, which previously hosted nine Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches in October and November 2025.

Ten regional teams compete: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Karachi Whites, Karachi Blues, Lahore Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan and Sialkot.

The pages are divided into two groups. Group A comprises Lahore Whites, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Karachi Whites and Bahawalpur.

Group B consists of defending champions Lahore Blues, Sialkot, Multan, Abbottabad and Karachi Blues.

The top two teams in each division will advance to the semi-finals. The group stage will be played from March 7 to 16 with two matches per day.

The first meeting starts at 4:15 PM PKT and the second meeting at 9:15 PM PKT. The final is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM PKT, with the toss taking place at 7:30 PM.

Amir Jamal’s Lahore Whites will begin their campaign against Peshawar on the opening day. Their second group game will be against Faisalabad on March 9.
