The Pakistan Super League has officially opened nominations for the 11th edition of its prestigious Hamare Heroes initiative, inviting cricket fans across the country to honor extraordinary Pakistanis who are making a difference across the border rope.

Supporters can submit their nominations through an online form until 3pm on Tuesday 24 March 2026, with this year’s edition promising to be more comprehensive as the competition expands to eight teams for the first time.

First introduced during the fifth edition of PSL in 2020, Hamare Heroes has quickly established itself as a beloved fixture in the tournament calendar.

Now back for the sixth consecutive year, the initiative will shine a spotlight on individuals whose contributions to society have helped boost Pakistan’s image at home and abroad.

The upcoming 11th edition begins on March 26 at the Gaddafi Stadium, where defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face Hyderabad Kingsmen in the tournament opener.

Through Hamare Heroes, the Pakistan Cricket Board seeks to recognize and celebrate citizens who have demonstrated outstanding service in various fields.

Previous awardees include a remarkable cross-section of Pakistani talent: late mountaineer Ali Satbara, Olympic javelin gold medalist Arshad Nadeem, e-sports champion Arslan Ash, wrestler and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Inam Bhatt, Olympic swimmer Kiran Khan, boxer Mohammad Vaz, astrophysicist.

The PCB committee will review all the nominations before compiling the final list of candidates to be honored on match days.

The selected heroes will receive cash awards at PSL fixtures, while their achievements will be showcased through short documentaries aired on the tournament’s digital platforms and during the live telecast of the tournament.

The initiative casts a wide net inviting nominations from various fields including sports (outside cricket), education, health, arts, culture, music, social work, social entrepreneurship and technology.
