LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi held a separate meeting with national ODI and T20I captain Shaheen Afridi and all-rounder Salman Ali Agha. Jio News On Wednesday.

According to sources, Naqvi and Afridi discussed strategies and plans for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh scheduled from March 11 to 15.

Meanwhile, Salman Ali Agha has reportedly reviewed Pakistan’s performance in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, from which the team was eliminated at the Super Eight stage.

Sources said the all-rounder also discussed future plans with the PCB chief.

Pakistan’s T20 World Cup campaign got off to a flying start with a three-wicket win over the Netherlands. However, it suffered a heavy defeat by 61 runs against arch-rivals India in its second match.

The team bounced back strongly against Namibia, winning their final group-stage match by 102 runs.

In the Super Eights, Pakistan washed out the clash against New Zealand, followed by a loss to England. They started their campaign with a five-run win over Sri Lanka.

Ahead of the Bangladesh series, the PCB announced a 15-man squad, introducing six players: Abdul Samad, Mas Sadaq, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan and Shamil Hussain.

Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue as the ODI captain.

Notably, star batsman Babar has been dropped from the Assam squad along with Faqar Zaman (hamstring injury), Haseebullah, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah and Saim Ayub.
