Hobart: Australia cruised to a mammoth 185-run win over India in the third and final ODI of the series at Bellerive Oval here on Sunday.

Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s fielding decision backfired first as the home side piled up a mammoth total of 409/7 courtesy of Healy and Mooney.

The Australian captain top-scored with 158 off 98 balls with 27 fours and 2 sixes, followed by Mooney’s 106 off 84 balls with 10 fours and a six.

The two shared a 145-run partnership for the third wicket, Healy adding 104 for the second wicket, Georgia Wall with a half-century, 62 off 52 balls, with 6 fours and a six.

For India, Shine Rana and Sri Sarani grabbed two wickets each, but the price was high as they conceded 66 and 106 runs respectively in 10 overs. Renuka Singh, Deepti Sharma and Kashvi Gautam may take one each.

Chasing a target of 410 runs, the Indian batting unit crumbled under the pressure of the scoreboard and were bowled out for 224 runs in 45.1 overs.

Bowling all-rounder Rana was India’s top scorer with a cautious 74-ball 44, followed by Jemima Rodriguez with a blistering 29-ball 42.

Deepti and opener Pratika Rawal scored 29 and 27 respectively to score the other notable runs for India.

Alana King led Australia’s bowling with 4 for just 33 from her 10 overs, while Georgia Wareham took two wickets and Ashley Gardner, Annabelle Sutherland and Nicola Carey took one each.

The win helped Australia sweep the three-match home ODI series against India as they won the first two matches in Brisbane and here respectively.

Healy won the man of the match award in his last ODI for Australia and added another feat to his glittering career, during which he scored 3777 runs in 114 innings at an average of 37.02 with eight centuries and 19 fifties.
