
Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Thursday that the first phase of Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 ticket sales has gone live.
According to the apex cricket body, more than two million tickets have gone on sale for the first phase, priced at INR 100 in India and LKR 1000 in Sri Lanka, the two host nations of the 20-team tournament.
The details of ticket sales for the second phase of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be announced soon.
“The low and affordable prices for Phase I have been fixed to give cricket fans a fair and reasonable opportunity to purchase tickets for the landmark 10th edition,” ICC said in a statement.
ICC CEO Sanchok Gupta called the first phase of ticket sales a “significant milestone” in their strategy to deliver the most accessible and global cricket event ever staged.
“The first phase of ticket sales is an important milestone in our journey to deliver the most accessible and global ICC event ever staged,” Gupta was quoted as saying by the ICC.

The 10th edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8 next year.
The mega event will see 20 teams divided into four groups of five, with the top two from each group advancing to the Super Eight stage, followed by two pools of four sides each.
The tournament kicks off with Pakistan taking on the Netherlands on the opening day, while hosts and defending champions India take on the United States (USA) in Mumbai.
The group stage concludes with a match between Australia and Oman in Kandy on February 20. The Super Eight stage will be held from February 21 to March 1, followed by two semi-finals on March 4 and 5 respectively.
Meanwhile, the blockbuster final will be played on March 8 in either Ahmedabad or Colombo depending on Pakistan’s qualification as the 2009 champions will play all their matches in Sri Lanka.
