LAHORE: The Cricket Australia (CA) delegation has reviewed security arrangements here ahead of their men’s team tour for the three-match T20I series in Pakistan next month, sources told Geo Subbar on Tuesday.
According to insiders, CA’s recce team will inspect places including Gaddafi Stadium, National Cricket Academy (NCA) and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) ground as part of its regular visit.
It will be briefed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Defense Force officials on the preparations for the upcoming series.
The Australian men’s cricket team will tour Pakistan in early 2026 to play a white-ball series, scheduled to be played in two phases.
In the first phase, the two teams will face off in a three-match T20 series tentatively scheduled to be played at the end of January 2026, ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
The baggy greens were originally scheduled to return to Pakistan after the mega event for a three-match ODI series in March, but now it is expected to be played after the conclusion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11.
The Future Tours program originally listed the series as March 13-19.
Australia last toured Pakistan in 2022 in an all-format series that included three Tests, several ODIs and a T20I.
The tour won the Test and T20I tasks, while Pakistan won the 50-over format.
