KARACHI: Arch-rivals Pakistan and India clash on Sunday after the Super Six line-up of the 2026 ICC Men’s U19 World Cup was confirmed following their defeat of New Zealand in the final group-stage match at the Queen’s Sports Club on Saturday.
In the recently concluded match, four wickets from RS Ambrish, followed by a half-century from skipper Ayush Madre, led India to a seven-wicket victory over New Zealand.
With the conclusion of the group stage, the line-up of the Super Sixers has also been confirmed, with three teams each from Group A and D forming Group 1 for the upcoming stage, while Group 2 will consist of the top three teams from Group B and C.
As a result, two-time champions Pakistan, who finished second in Group C, will face New Zealand on January 27, followed by a high-octane clash against arch-rivals India on February 1.
Pakistan went into the field with two points from their win over Zimbabwe and will need to win both Super Six matches to qualify for the semi-finals on February 3 and 4.
For the non-qualifiers, the top two teams from each Super Six group will advance to the knockouts, while the final of the 16-team tournament is scheduled to take place on February 6 at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.
