Amid reports of alleged investment scams involving current and former Pakistani cricketers, several players have come forward to clarify that ‘they were not scammed’ by an overseas company.
The clarifications followed media reports that several national team cricketers had lost millions of rupees after investing in a business venture run by a US-based man.
The players said Jio News Although they have invested in the company, they have not faced any fraudulent activity.

Players added that a player who invested 40 million dirhams recently received 200,000 dirhams.
Sources also said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi has contacted the players regarding the matter.
The players assured that there was no serious problem and that they would report any problems immediately. They confirmed that the owner of the company currently in Dubai is in constant contact with them.

He said that the cricketers have been investing with him since 2023 and all the investments are under proper written agreements and all the players involved have guaranteed checks issued by the company.
The owner, who denied the allegations of fraud, clarified that he had never been to the US and did not have a US visa. He reiterated that he was in Dubai and was in constant touch with all the cricketers.
Although no formal complaints have been filed, earlier reports suggest that former and current Pakistani cricketers, including the former captain, have been involved in ‘cheats’.
Sources indicate that following the example of a former captain, other players invested with the businessman who promised unusually high returns.
Reports also suggest that a well-known agent of Pakistani cricketers was among those who faced defeat.
