
DUBAI: Pakistan’s T20 captain Salman Ali Agha and pacer Salman Mirza have made significant progress in the ICC T20 rankings, with the recent three-match series against Sri Lanka drawing 1-1.
Sime Ayub was dethroned as the No. 1 T20 all-rounder by Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza in the latest rankings.
Agha moved up 13 places to 41st with 534 points, while opener Sahibzada Farhan moved up one place to fifth. In contrast, star batsman Babar Assam slipped three places to 32nd with 562 points.
Fellow opener Saim Ayub retained his position of 37. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, who has not been in Pakistan’s short-form team since December 2024, slipped three places to 59th.
Faqar Zaman also fell two places to 66th position with 469 points. Middle-order batsman Hasan Nawaz has slipped three places to 83rd, while wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris is at 92nd with 390 points.
India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to top the T20 batting rankings, followed by England’s Phil Salt at second and Thilak Verma at third.
Among the bowlers, fast bowler Salman Mirza moved up 16 places to 19th with 618 points. Off-spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped one place to fifth and Mohammad Nawaz slipped two places to 13th.
Shaheen Afridi slipped 5 places to 25th, Subian Muqeem slipped 2 places to 34th, and Saeem Ayub slipped 12 places to 54th.
Haris Raoob slipped one place to 55th, Abbas Afridi slipped 4 places to 76th and fast bowler Faheem Ashraf slipped 21 places to 79th with 452 points.
India’s Varun Chakraborty continues to top the T20 bowler rankings. Sri Lanka’s Vanindu Hazaran moved up three places to second, pipping New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy to third.
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has regained the top spot in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, beating Sime and West Indies’ Roston Chase to third.
Mohammad Nawaz is fifth, Shadab Khan has moved up eight places to 37th and Faheem Ashraf has slipped one place to 38th with 88 points.
Salman Agha moved up one place to 60th, Shaheen Afridi slipped four places to 64th and Abbas Afridi slipped 5 places to 91st.
